Iapos;m back I think I just like to write every 6 months or so. Haha. I try to wait until I have something interesting to write about. Guess that means my life is pretty boring. Well hereapos;s an update anyway. I am still at the same job. London never worked out because of the actual size of the office over there. We DO have an office there it is just really small and they didnapos;t really need that many people to transfer there. They are planning on opening an office somewhere out west but that is still up in the air as far as specific location. I have a new position at my job now, however, and I enjoy it a bit more than my previous position. It was a lateral move, but better for my mental sanity. :) My apartment is good. Itapos;s getting chilly here and itapos;s almost time to turn on the heat, but I like to wait until the last minute. Iapos;m in denial still that summer is over. *sigh*

Over the summer, I tried to do much as I could with the little time I could take off from work. In July, I did manage to take a trip with Chris to South Carolina for a week. It was a lot of fun We went to Myrtle Beach and camped there for a few days and then took a bus down to Charleston to see my Aunt Rick and Uncle Carol, Aunt Kathy and my cousin Abby and her girls. It was really good to see everyone even though our stay with them was so short. I wish we could have stayed longer but it was better than nothing While we were in Myrtle Beach, Chris and I spent time on the beach, actually watched a sunrise, saw some sharks (or as we like to call them here in boston - Shaahhks) and we went to Broadway at the Beach, which is kind of like a mini Vegas. It was a good time, thatapos;s for sure

I made it to one concert this summer but it was a fantastic one. It was my future husband, Jack Johnson. I went with my friends Andi, Kristin and Chris. He puts on a really good show and I really forgot how much I love his music It was a lot of fun besides the traffic on the way out of the parking lot. It literally took us an hour and a half just to move from our spot to the isle It was crazy The Comcast Center needs to redesign their parking lots

In August, I flew out to San Francisco for my cousin Amyapos;s Joshapos;s wedding It was a beautiful ceremony and a great reception She was a beautiful bride She is the first of the cousins on that side to get married so it was a great time. It was good to get the cousins together again. I got to see Todd and Amanda again too Of course, since it was my first time to San Fran we had to do some touristy stuff too We took a cable car trolley tour all through the city and it even went over the Golden Gate Bridge It was scary because the trolley was open air and it was really windy on the bridge. When we were driving through the real Chinatown, we saw a guy actually pick up a prostitute. It was really funny and awkward at the same time

Not long after I got back from San Fran, Todd and Amanda came to Boston It was awesome to see them two weekends in a row As soon as I picked them up from the airport, the first thing we did was go to Dunkins Apparently they donapos;t have them in CA, something I was totally unaware of We then took a trolley tour of Quincy I learned a lot about the town Iapos;ve been living in for almost a year Haha. I even found out we have THE original Dunkins Itapos;s right down the street from me and the make the best iced coffees. That night Todd, Amanda, Kristin and I did a dinner cruise on the Spirit of Boston, the boat I work on. Chris was our server for the night so he hooked us up Itapos;s a lot more fun to ride than to work Haha

I think thatapos;s it for my big adventures of the summer. Not too many but still a good amount to keep me sane and away from work for a little bit Iapos;ve also recently decided to get my butt to grad school. I am going to start studying for the GREapos;s and most likely start taking some pre req classes. Iapos;ve decided Iapos;m going to go for something marine related. Itapos;s my passion and I think itapos;s the only way Iapos;ll really be happy with a job. Itapos;s going to take a lot of work and probably a lot of money since I donapos;t have a science undergrad degree, but Iapos;m going to stick through it. In theory, Iapos;d like to get to the west coast for it, but weapos;ll see. Moving, finding another job, paying for rent and going to school sounds like a lot of planning and a lot of money. I would like to go for something like marine conservation. I found a great program in San Diego, actually itapos;s the best in the world, so I most likely wonapos;t get in but itapos;s giving me some ideas of things to look into elsewhere. So Iapos;m going to start looking around and studying up and maybe, just maybe Iapos;ll end up doing something I love. Wish me luck
